Another Top-Five Finish for Sellers

Beaver Falls, NY ---  A rainy start for the evening did not dampen Peyton Sellers’ spirits, nor the opportunity for his third top-five finish of the season this past Saturday night at Adirondack International Speedway in the ninth race of the NASCAR Busch East Series.  The finish also moved Sellers back into third place in the series standings overall.

After a rained-out qualifying round and a shortened practice, the race got underway with Sellers starting in 4th position based on his points standings.  The short ½ mile circular and nearly flat track made for a tight race, and Sellers managed to stay out of trouble during the evening’s seven cautions, and put the #83 Strutmasters.com Chevrolet across the line in fourth place at the checkered flag.

“It was a bit like a bullring”, said Sellers.  “We’d never seen the track before, and it called for a pretty different setup than what we’d been running.  We feel pretty good about posting another top-five, especially considering the circumstances.”

The 2005 NASCAR Dodge Weekly Racing Series National Champion will race an even more interesting course on August 18th when he tackles the 1.53 mile road course in Lime Rock, CT as the next race in the Busch East Series.  “We’ve got to completely reset the car for that race, plus I’ve got to turn right as well as left”, said Sellers with a grin.

The team hopes that its commitment to running a competitive schedule will continue to attract additional sponsors for the 2007 and 2008 seasons.

The Mohegan Sun 200 at Lime Rock Park will be broadcast live on HD Net on August 18th at 12:30 PM, and tape delayed on the Speed Channel on Wednesday, August 29th at noon.  Please check your local listings.
