Sellers Brings Home Another Top Ten in Caution-filled Road Race

Lime Rock, CT ---  Sellers maintained his third place standings in the NASCAR Busch East Series this weekend, posting an eighth place finish on the season’s road race course in the Mohegan Sun 200.  The race was filled with oil spills and wrecks, with 40 of its 82 laps run under caution. Given the circumstances, the team felt fortunate to get the #83 Strutmasters.com Ford into the top ten again without an incident.  In the ten starts of the series so far this season, Sellers has posted one Busch pole award, 3 top five finishes and 6 top tens.

Sellers Racing was running a car that had been loaned to them from Chip Lofton of Strutmasters specifically for the road course event.  “We just couldn’t quite get it dialed in to run right up front, but we were at least able to pull some bonus points by staying out and leading a lap”, said Sellers.  “The track was great and it was a beautiful facility.  We’re just happy to come home with another top 10”.

The 2005 NASCAR Dodge Weekly Racing Series National Champion will run again this Saturday, August 25th in the Mansfield Motorsports Speedway 150 in Mansfield, OH.  The team tested at the track earlier this month, and is hoping for another strong performance.  The season’s final races of the Busch East Series at Loudon and Dover will be companion events to Nextel Cup and/or Busch races being run on the same weekends, and likely will draw large crowds and exposure for the team.

The Mansfield Motorsports Speedway 150 will be broadcast live on HD Net on August 25th at 5:00 PM, and tape delayed on the Speed Channel on Wednesday, September 5th at noon.  Please check your local listings.
