Sellers Adds Another Top Ten
Mansfield, OH --- Peyton Sellers added another top ten finish to his growing resume in the NASCAR Busch East Series last weekend, finishing seventh after getting turned late in the race. With one pole, 3 top fives and 7 top ten finishes in the eleven races so far this season, the #83 Strutmasters.com team continues to impress.
Sellers recovered after posting an unusually low qualifying position for the team this season, thirteenth in the field of 29. “We had tested at the track and worked a lot on the setup. We knew after qualifying that we probably didn’t have the car to win Saturday, but certainly had a top five car again. If it weren’t for the spin with about 40 laps to go, we would have been right there again. With it being only a half-mile track, it was pretty tough to pass without getting mixed-up.”
Sellers slipped to fourth place in the overallseries standings, just 33 points behind Sean Caisse who won the Mansfield Motorsports 150 Saturday night. “It’s been tight all season between the top four of us – I expect it’ll stay that way.”
The 2005 NASCAR Dodge Weekly Racing Series National Champion will run again Friday, September 14th in the Aubuchon Hardware 125 in Loudon, NH. The race will precede the Nextel Cup race at the same track on the following Sunday, and should draw a larger than normal crowd and exposure.
The NASCAR Busch East Grand National Race will be broadcast live on HD Net on August 25th at 5:00 PM, and tape delayed on the Speed Channel on Wednesday, October 3rd at noon. Please check your local listings.
