Sellers Strong Again in Busch East Series
Loudon, NH --- It was a beautiful day for racing, and another beautiful top five finish for Peyton Sellers. After qualifying ninth, Sellers finished fourth, moving to within just 16 points of third place in the series overall and only 48 points out of second place. There remains just one race in the official season of the Busch East Grand National Series, to be held this Friday in Dover, DE. The Toyota all-star showdown will then be held in Irwindale, CA on October 19th and 20th and broadcast live on the Speed Channel.

Sellers and the #83 Strutmasters.com Chevrolet pitted early for tires and gas, a strategy which put him back as far as 27th but allowed him time to work his way back through the field. After running with the leaders again late in the race, an aggressive move by Matt Kobyluck shifted Sellers back to 9th place with only 12 laps to go. Following Kobyluck’s wreck with just 10 laps remaining, Sellers was able to maneuver back towards the front to finish fourth.
“It was a good race,” Sellers commented. “We’re glad we finished well and didn’t get banged up too badly so that we can have the car in shape again quickly for Dover.” The race at the mile-long Dover International Speedway is expected to draw large crowds as part of a rare triple-header: the Busch East Grand National race on Friday, the Busch race on Saturday, and the Nextel Cup race on Sunday will all be run at the same track.
“We’re coming right to the wire”, said crew chief H. C. Sellers. “It ought to make for a really exciting race this weekend.” Although Strutmasters has given the team some support this season, they continue to look for a lead sponsor and hope their strong and consistent performance this season will attract attention, both for the season finale in California as well as for 2008.
The Sunoco 150 will be broadcast live on HD Net on September 21st at 4:30 PM, and tape delayed on the Speed Channel on Wednesday, October 10th at noon. Please check your local listings.
