Sellers Remains in Hunt for Busch East Title

June 11, 2007

Stafford Springs , CT --- Peyton Sellers remains in the hunt for the NASCAR Grand National Division Busch East title after Friday’s TSI Harley Davidson 150. Posting a strong qualifying run of 19.74 seconds on the ½ mile track (less than .20 seconds behind the two hometown favorites Sean Caisse and Matt Kobyluck), Sellers started in third position for the evening in the #38 Strutmasters.com Chevrolet.

A restart with 20 laps to go saw Sellers mix with point leader Joey Logano, putting both cars at the back of the field. Sellers was able to make his way back to 14th position before the checkered flag flew, leaving him still in a strong fourth place overall in the Busch East Series standings.

“It’s a tight track with pretty dicey corners”, said Sellers. “Joey and I just got into each other. It’s just racing. It happens. Fortunately, we both were able to recover pretty well.”

The 2005 Dodge Weekly Racing Series National Champion is racing the NGND Busch East Series in 2007, after finishing fifth in total points and taking Rookie of the Year honors in the NGND West Series last year. Sellers is coming off his first Busch Pole victory and strong second place finish at his home track in South Boston, Virginia last weekend.

Friday night’s race will be broadcast on SPEED Channel’s Racing Across America on Wednesday, June 20th. Please check your local listings.

The team’s next Busch East Series race is scheduled for June 29th at New Hampshire International Speedway in Loudon, NH. This race will be replayed on the SPEED Channel on July 18th.
